Nadine McNeil

Global humanitarian, storyteller and yoga instructor, NADINE MCNEIL combines these three elements to deliver a subtle yet powerful package that she coins, yoga ethnochoreochoreology.

Nadine McNeil in YogaAs a practice, Yoga Ethnochoreology bridges many traditions due to the universal matriarchal collectivizing memory practices.

An evolving yogini for nearly a decade, NADINE MCNEIL'S yoga practice experience spans various forms of yoga -- Ashtanga, Bikram, Kundalini and Sivananda.

A qualified Sivananda yoga instructor who studied in South India, Nadine intuits and leads a practice involving meditation, breath work and movement through asanas.

Yoga asanas, along with proper breathing, are the body’s way of recalling and releasing stored memories. As increased awareness leads to consciousness, practitioners are able to easily incorporate these yogic tools into their daily lives and subsequently reap the immediate benefits of leading an empowered and fulfilling life.

Nadine McNeil in YogaIn her specialised workshops, students are invited to write about their experience throughout the process. When combined with writing, yoga enables one to transcribe, honor and validate their evolution.

NADINE MCNEIL recently completed a yoga teacher-training programme for children starting from age 4 in Toronto, Canada. She will be incorporating the tools acquired there as part of collaborative arts project with the Turn Around Project (www.turanaroundproject.ca) at their annual two week camp to be held in Portland in July 2009 where she will be leading nearly 60 kids from inner-city and rural communities, ages 9 to 16 in a combined yoga and creative writing workshop.
